Cord pants

Not the best thing to have winter weather in April, but it gives you a chance to wear some of those outfits we won't be wearing again until October. Since spring is my favorite season I really look forward to genuine spring outfits and all those lovely vintage inspired clothing you can't usually wear under heavy coats. I'm not so sure wether I did some outfit posts with these pants before, they are my favourite corduroy pants and I think my only pair of this kind. Corduroy is mainly a winter fabric so I wouldn't wear these without sweaters or ...

Cropped jeans

Cropped jeans do look the best when they are flared or a bit wider at least. These are neither so I guess they fall into the category of skinny cropped jeans. Going with the logic that cropped jeans look the best with flats, loafers especially, I decided to pair them with the pair of flats I like. I'm also not able to wear heels yet since I injured my toes, but let me tell you not even all flats are comfortable when you've sprained your toes. These are too tight so they are definitely not comfortable flats. . But they ...

Leggings outfits

I can't remember if I ever posted a look with leggings before. Probably not because I rarely wear them outside the house. Except when I'm working out, but that doesn't count. Denim jackets are the whole different story, I love wearing them so much that the only time during my childhood when my Mom got angry with me has been when I wanted to outside in my denim jacket during the winter. I actually waited for her to go back into the kitchen when she explicitly said I can't wear it and then put in back on. In my defense ...

Halter neck dress

I used to think my favourite kind of dresses were kimono dresses, until I discovered it's halter necks. It all started when I got two beautiful halter neck tops (both knitted and look gorgeous in summer outfits) and realized I like how the silhouette with bare shoulders and arms looks. With kimono dresses your arms and shoulders are covered so you have to find a pretty décolleté line to get a nice silhouette. I tried this gorgeous kimono dress from Monsoon last summer, fit was perfect in every sense, except for the décolleté that just didn't fit right. So that's ...

Pink on all black

The things you can wear in this weather, you can pretty much pair anything and it will be fine. Except the real summer wardrobe, although I did see people wear shorts during February. I would usually wear this jacket in colder weather, so I wouldn't be able to pair it with these boots, since they are for a bit warmer weather. If that makes any sense whatsoever. Although I did one post before with these exact boots and jacket, but it was a weirdly warm day as well. I do still love this 90s inspired outwear style, especially the puffer ...

Mixing neutrals

You can never have too many sneakers outfits, right? Wrong, I've been wearing them for the last week and I'm slowly getting tired of it. . I've actually hurt my foot last Sunday and since then I've been only wearing sneakers, this pair especially because it's my most comfortable one. I never thought I would miss boots so much, hopefully I will be back in them next week. Since I've been rotating all of my outfits around these sneakers I though it would be nice to try an all neutral outfit with white sneakers. I've had these pants for a ...

Return of 90s boots

Ankle boots are the prettiest boots in my opinion. They look good with everything, even cropped pants, which is impossible for knee high boots. Well, maybe I love over the knee boots as much as I love ankle boots, but they go well with different outfits. As trends and styles are changing so are the types and models of ankle boots. At the beginning of 2010s biker boots and boots with zippers at unusual and more usual places were all the rage. Back then I got really into ankle boots with a reasonable heel and I got a pair of ...

Gray blazer

Second look with this blazer in two weeks. . It really is one of my favourite blazers, I like this cut that's structured and tailored but also not too tight. I love this look with blazers/jackets and skirts, even when they are not a part of a set (which is also cute, but gives you a different look). Back when I first did a post with this jacket I wrote how you can't wear it a lot during the year because it doesn't go well with any weather, turns out it is perfect for unusually warm winters. Read more »

Sunny weather

Don't you just love sunny days when it's supposed to be winter and all cold and gloomy. Any day when you can wear sunglasses for real is amazing in my book. . This time I thought to go with this simple look of a turtleneck (well, almost) sweater with a wool jacket because you can wear this type of outfits only when the winter is really warm. Any jeans that are not super skinny will go with the look, shorter leg ones are the best because you can pair them well with ankle boots. Speaking about the boots, these are ...

Two toned boots

I was never the biggest fan of suede boots, but I think I'm warming up to them. I like these mainly because of the heel length, this kind of high but not too high heel is my favourite when it comes to boots. Usually I wear ankle boots with such heel, still I liked these a lot because I thought they will look cute with boho dresses when the spring comes. That whole 70s dresses with chunky heel boots is right up my alley. What do you think about wearing black and brown together? When I first saw these boots ...

Oversized checked coat

Recently I rediscovered my love for oversized coats. They are the perfect autumn and winter style staple, especially in the last couple of years since the trend returned. What I learned from wearing my oversized camel coat is that they are super warm and easy to style with almost everything. When you are wearing those super tailored tighter coats sometimes you can't layer as much underneath them or they will look bulky. Oversized coats are quite roomy so you don't have this issue. Also, contrary to what I used to think, they do create a nice silhouette. It does help ...

Tweed skirt

Like I wrote in yesterday's post, next to corduroy skirts, tweed skirts go great with winter outfits as well. Although I think they all look stylish and beautiful, my favourite kind of tweed skirts are the ones in black and white like the skirt I'm wearing here. They remind me of old school skirt and blazer sets (which are also on trend right now). What makes tweed the perfect winter fabric is the fact that it's made of wool. Normally it's quite thick and warm so it's one of the warmest fabrics for skirts (besides actual wool). Read more »

Sweaters on floral dresses

As soon as the winter approaches all I want to wear is floral dresses. I know, it doesn't really make any sense except the fact that there's actually not so many options when it comes to winter dresses. You have your velvety and corduroy ones and all the sparkly dresses for the holidays and that's it. I don't count wool dresses because they are practically sweaters. But a bit nicer, I have to say. You can get away with wearing thinner dresses like floral ones in the winter as well, just make sure to put a sweater on top. Thicker ...

All beige

From someone who never liked warm tones in clothing to all beige outfits. What happened to me? . Well I did break things down with couple of black accessories so I'm not yet in the complete beige outfits phase. I'm not sure why I was never a fan of beige outfits, probably because I grew up (or should I say was in my late teens) when completely black outfits were all the rage. Maybe you remember the style, everything was black, leather, skulls and spikes. It was the times when wearing all black wasn't edgy or making a statement, it ...

Chunky sweater/slip dress

Chunky sweaters are my old love and I have the exact same one in blue. I got it two years ago and it has been one of my most worn sweaters since so when I recently saw this one (and on sale!) I had to have it. If you are like me and love wearing sweaters with pretty much everything, it comes in handy to have more options in your closet. Maybe this is only what I tell myself as an excuse to get more sweaters, I’m not sure. . Anyways, when it comes to wearing them, there are so ...

Button down skirt

Not the trendiest of all the pieces, but still my favourite denim skirt. Button down skirts used to be huge couple of years ago, especially the denim ones. This one is perfect mainly because of the length, it's not too short so it's great for everyday. You can wear these type of skirts all year long, in the summer with camis and of the shoulder blouses and then later into the autumn with sweaters and leather jackets. Here I paired it with my favourite fluffy sweater. Fluffy sweaters really weren't my thing until I got this one a year ago. ...

First look of this autumn

How are your autumn looks going? Are you still in that post summer phase just wearing warmer versions of summery outfits or are all of your sweaters and thicker stuff already on rotation? I'm doing both, just getting one sweater out at the time, I should probably get all of my autumn/winter clothes out of storage and organize them in my closet, but I've just been so busy and maybe procrastinating because I didn't want for summer to end. Right now I don't know what my favourite style for this time of the year is, I love skirts and dresses ...

Linen dress

One of my summer staples this year, although I didn't even wear them before. Linen dresses are one of those items you always see people wearing during the summer and think how chic and effortless their style is. Normally I go for a more boho approach to warmer weather style, but in the recent years it went into retro direction the same way all the trends went. Even though I always say I don't follow trends somehow you can't avoid them, they are in the air. . Not that you can't wear linen as a part of boho outfits, but ...

Kimonos in the spring

As far as I recall, there are two types of spring weather. First is when we go straight into super warm spring and this other kind when we go through a period of rain before it gets warmer. We just need to survive these couple of last cold days and it will be real spring. . Not only is spring my favourite season, it's also season for the best outfits, at least weather wise. I'm not gonna lie, sometimes during the winter I think about all the things I will wear when it gets warmer. Also, I thought I love ...
